I would guess most of the KM clothing that we see is from the surface fleet for that exact reason. Cap
I notice that Macul's U-boat cap badge is the same as mine, or at least very similar. My cap of course has a green Coastal Artillery insignia, but as I understand it, this was not uncommon during the war. I do not know for sure, have had this cap for a while.
The white tropical cap is of unknown service. JohnComment
