Thank you for the nice pictures Gebirgsjäger, can you post more pictures of the number 16 please.

This cap is named to U-Boot officer or a surface ship officer ?
          Ohne Seemacht, keine Weltmacht !

Here are my contributions: I am currently limited to the bordmutze side of the house, but would love to get in on a visor cap someday.
First, my standard EM/NCO blue bordmutze.

Next up, my vet-acquired tropical brown "M41-style" EM/NCO cap.

Next, is my most recent addition: a tropical/summer EM/NCO white bordmutze.

And finally, my favorite, an officer's blue bordmutze. (Remember these beauties, Michel? )

Considering that 75% of these guys went to the bottom of the ocean, this is really rare stuff. Nice displays!

I would guess most of the KM clothing that we see is from the surface fleet for that exact reason. However, I would like to think that something in my collection is truly U-boat .

An awesome thread, Michel, thanks for starting it.
My favorite, thus far, is the first posting of the bordjacke and white top visor of a Kapitänleutnant--simply stunning.

                              Cap

I notice that Macul's U-boat cap badge is the same as mine, or at least very similar. My cap of course has a green Coastal Artillery insignia, but as I understand it, this was not uncommon during the war. I do not know for sure, have had this cap for a while.

The white tropical cap is of unknown service. John
