Hi Dion, I agree about the replaced (and repro) eagle. You can just see where the original was sewn if you look at the left wing.
Replaced insignia is a fact of life when it comes to collecting tunics. Some suffer from it more than others; from replacement of an eagle to a full "rebuild". It really boils down to what a collector is prepared to accept standards wise for his or her collection. Although I prefer untouched tunics (who dosen't
) I can live with a replaced (but original) eagle but that is about it.
Price is a big factor on something like this too.

Thanks Ade, On that note Iam going to leave that tunic alone!
I would also prefer 100% untouched, butI have a feeling those are far and few between!
