Pionier Uniform Grouping from Vets Family

I picked this grouping up recently from a veteran's grandson. The tunic is in excellent condition except for the boards being gone. Has anyone seen any other uniforms by this French maker?

After some research I found a tunic that was made by the same tailor. A panzer officers from the GD division.

              Nice

It looks he was promoted from NCO to officer during the war.

              Congratulations

                Mike, No documentation.
Not so sure Juan. The NCO slip on boards were badly sewn on. The tunic appears to be high quality officer grade.

                  grouping

the tunic is an original officer privately made tunic (high quality wool).

The collar patches are for an officer. The shoulderboards are nco so I assume that they were later attached to the tunic ?

(I do not see any former stitching for an nco on the collar. That also would be strange as this is a privately made officers tunic).

The cap is for an EM/NCO.

The trousers are also original but I doubt if they belong to the tunic as they are much more worn and they look bigger in size.

so this is not a grouping ie not all worn by one an the same soldier. (the dagger is offcourse Luftwaffe).

                  best

I think someone in the past rigged up the jacket with some ribbon bars etc. and used everything as a Halloween costume. Considering that the tunic is in exceptional condition I feel fortunate that it survived so well.

If it came from a US vet - he might have acquired the pieces at different times or through trade etc. Not necessarily all from the same man. If it came from a German Vet that's another story.

The breaches are of French manufacture as the Tunic is. I think there's a good chance they go together.

Karl - good catch - branded to the same tailor. You have a match. One of my sets was confirmed the same way. No label or name tag on them but buttons branded to the same tailor as the jacket.
