Use of captured French fabrics for tropical uniforms?

    This could also be a reason why the variety in fabrics used in german tropical uniforms increased over time, the french stocks just slowly dried out.
    Not sure that the initial DAK uniforms were from French material. But are instead made of German stock. Only six or seven makers of tropical kit were around in 1940 but by 1942 it had increased to over 36 different makers which accounts for the variety in fabric & technique. As mentioned don't doubt it could happen.

    If anybody can show a German made tropical cap/tunic or even just a shoulderstrap from this French fabric that would be helpful....
