Actually, I would not be surprised if it is not all original. Better photos would help. Lots of pre-war tunics like this M35 were reworked and reissued for use later in the war with new collars, updated insignia and so on. Often the insignia was crudely applied.

Eagle poorly reattached by somebody.

In the 60s, lots of these were still hanging in closets-mostly dress pieces.

98% had eagles removed or neutered.
Sometimes they would be in a pocket, but rarely.

I try but the color seems to be lighter then in reality. On the close up pics you can see the tone of color. The stiches on the eagle are same type the on the edelweiss patch. skalp
