Straps

The straps are fascinating! It looks like they were green thread on the embroidery that "washed" out. I assumed he was attached the GJ Schule at Mittenwald.

Green embroidery indeed faded to white now....(based on back side view ...)

Looks nice as it is I only brush /hover my tunics never clean them.

I think the embroidery was green with a white outline similar to pioneer boards. School cadre regardless of rank were supposed to wear silver metal devices but later this rule like most probably was not followed.

Unique shoulder straps!
Appear to be chainstitched, picked out in white, handsewn.

As I posted about the helmet, wonderful "Attic" find!
