I posted on other images like this with similar differences in Waffenfarbe. As the others noted, studios often had "props" in their studios for use in portraits. I have seen LW men wearing transitional heer M16 helmets etc. and many cases were the piping did not match between visor and jacket. I think that is the most likely explanation.
