That's very interesting. Is the material almost rubberized, like some form of waterproof material? Does the white backing glow?

it is very hard and feel a little bit like rubberized, but i´m sure. Perhaps it is only the color and the material is just from an other destination. Defenately not the sam like gasplanepouches or ligth gas clothing.
When you take the eagle at one wing you can hold it horizontal, the other wing dont go down.
I have no UV-Lamp so i cant check the glowing at the moment.

        Here's one I own.

Years and years ago I got a lot of printed and woven insignia from a US bomber pilot who had picked them up in Italy. There was a printed SS Prinz Eugen collar tabs among others.

            Hello,

After some thought about this second pattern breast eagle and that it was supposed to be printed on French lining material, I contacted Paul McKee again. Maybe this 3 color printed eagle was printed on captured French lining material and that is where some of the confusion lies. I sent him some original eagles and this other style and asked him to compare them to his ling material again.

His answer was that the 3 color eagle was printed on a heavier material than the lining in his jacket. The other style eagle was on a lighter material. Neither material had the same weave.
