This is my most recent waffenrock purchase for the collection which came from Herr Weitze. What are your thoughts on this one? If you need more pics, let me know and I will post them. The uniform will be physically in my hands tomorrow.

A very interesting waffenrock, both for the branch of service anf for its construction.
I can't recall ever seeing a summer-weight waffenrock, but it makes sense, particularly for a senior NCO, who might well have more ocasions to wear one in the summer than other troops.
As for badges, it looks from the photo as though it might be configured to receive a 1914 EK I and a first class spange above it, with badges to either side. I would think that a wound badge and an assault badge in bronze would be correct.
Nice tunic, and a scarce branch.

Here is the piping down the front of the tunic. The piping is typical for waffenrocks. The material of the waffenrock is indeed of a lightweight material. Herr Weitze stated in one of his e-mails that this was the reason there is no lining in this one. This is definitely a unique tunic. All the buttons are marked 'extra fein'.Attached Files
