Here is a favorite of mine, a set of senior Artillery shoulder boards from the Normandy breakout taken by a Second Armor veteran.

The vet grouping they came from along with an awesome SS FG shoulder board and Tab.

Mike H..could you please give me some background about the gold color general staff type tabs? I have never seen this varity before. Many thanks in advance!

The gold ones are for staff officers assigned to the OKW.

On a tunic...a Wehrmachtbeamten Senior Grade Officer. Difficult to tell whether it is a faded light blue (Military Law official) or grey (?).

I would be inclined to say grey for a Beamte a. K. What do the boards look like?

...board attached. It does look more grey in this!

This is the only one of these I've ever seen and this one is a single. Anyone have a set?

Here is one similar to yours on a tunic.

Looks like a tropical tunic? Do you know the date of your tunic? I've been having a disagreement with another collector who insists that this collar tab must be late war, I disagree.

                            Thanks for posting!

Unfortunately the tunic is undated. I tend to believe this pattern of collar tab was first produced in mid-late 1944. Do you have information that suggests an earlier production date?

No, but there are photos ... check out page 15 of Robert Kurtz's book "Afrikakorps." It certainly looks as if he has this type of collar tab on his tunic.
