Post your favorite Heer shoulder strap/board and/or collar tabs

I thought I would start a new thread on your favorite Heer shoulder strap/board and/or collar tabs. Here for a starter are a few of my favorites as follows from left to right:

    Panzernachrichten Enlisted, wartime.

Panzernachrichten-Abteilung 79 Enlisted, pre-war. Tab & strap both removed from the same wrapper.

Panzer-Lehr-Rgt. Unteroffizier. Strap brought back from Normandy by a British veteran.

    Panzer-Rgt. 2 Enlisted, pre-war.

I’ll post more as time permits but I invite everyone to join in with their favorites.

    Best Regards

    Mike

This is a little like 'Which one of your children would you save?' Here are 6 that would be on the list. From left to right:

Major, Armored Vehicle Maintenance Troops (device is a Gothic 'I').
Reserve Captain, 6th Motorcycle Rifle Battalion.
      Field Marshall, 2nd pattern
Captain, Panzergrenadierdivision Feldherrnhalle. (This board is pictured on page 365 of Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army, Volume 2.)
2nd Lieutenant, Reichsgrenadierdivision 'Hoch- und Deutschmeister'.
      Sergeant, Grossdeutschland Panzer.

Damn! Panzerpioniere. Still a hole in my collection....

Anyway, these might make it onto the ark too.

        Colonel, 5th Reconnaissance Regiment.
        Staff Sergeant, Grossdeutschland.
1st Lieutenant, 3rd Reconnaissance Regiment (recognize it Mike?).
Staff Sergeant, Artillery Observation Instruction Battalion.
Private, 16th Power Station Railway Company).
Sergeant, Railroad Operation Troops (letters are Gothic 'EB').

Gee, I don't think they are really a PAIR, so you should sell one to ME...

Here are a few GD officers boards. If you examine them closely you'll find that no two are exactly alike.

Mike & Wade, be sure to let me know when any of your straps/boards need a new home. Its nice when you can get them with the collar tabs too.

While this one isn't Heer it is one of the scarcer ones in my collection: For a Diplomatic Corps General in the Justice Administration (Group 1, Pay Group B3a to B9). I have the pair.

Heres an interesting non standard piece. Looks like someone modified a late war Embroidered officer collar tab and added piping to it. It all looks period done to me but who knows.comments? I sewed it to the uniform. Jim

Does look original. Only thing I can think of is that they were on an assault gunner's tunic.

                            Piped Panzer Officer Tab

Nice tab Jim! FYI, while these were not "by the book" I have seen two period photos of officers wearing piped officer field service collar tabs on their Sturmartillerie uniforms.

                              Hey Mike,

Today I went through both of your books on Panzer Uniforms hoping to find a picture. Those two obviousily didn't make the cut. So it appears you need to publish Volume 3 ha,ha. Regards Jim
