This piece no longer dwells in my collection, but here is an example of a Wachtruppe piped in Jaeger green. According to Angolia, the Jaeger personnel assigned to Wachtruppe could wear green with privately purchased uniforms.

The left most '98' ones are the rare Schulterklappen for the Windbluse.

The single 'US' one belongs to a Konvolut including his photoalbum and Soldbuch
Beautiful straps! This pair came from the grandson of the wearer. The intrepid NCO used stars from Oberschuetze insignia for pips.

        Schulterklappen:
VERY interesting insignia! I am especially intrigued by the Wache strap in green, but the cloth pips on the Gebirgsjäger straps is something I have never seen. Thanks for the post.

Knowing of your interest in GD, I thought you might like to see this piece. It was brought back by PFC Paul E. Ford, who served with the 401st & 327th Glider Inf. Regiments. The strap started out as a M-36 Infantrie piece. It was painted
the lemon yellow! I have seen examples of piping being dyed over, but not painted over.

            Welcome Aboard "Schulterklappen"

Good to see you posting some of your neat straps Glen. Keep em coming!

Many thanks to Sarge and Roman for the new postings. Dave, you really have some exquisite shoulder straps. In post #87 the Fliegerabwehrschule "Greifswald" and your Kradschützen-Btl. 3 in meadow green branch color are two straps that are truly outstanding!

            Best Regards
            Mike

Prior to returning this wrapper back to it’s mannequin I thought I would take a scan of one of the collar tabs. This is a 44 dated wrap with factory sewn Doppellitzen, mounted on field gray bases and piped in rose pink

                GI Scrap Book #1

While this is a typical wartime rose pink piped Panzer collar tab the Totenkopf has been mounted on the upper portion of the tab. Completely non-regulation, but not all that unusual.

                  GI Scrap Book #2

Looking at the back of this tab it is apparent that it was once pasted into a GI’s scrapbook. Good thing Super Glue was not around back then!

Great tab! As always you have some remarkable pieces. It's amazing the variations that can be found in Uniform Effekten.

                          NCO School Strap

Here is a M-40 slip on strap from the Panzer Unteroffizerschule at Putlos. These are difficult to find with the school letter still on them; they were usually picked out.

                            Another "US" Strap

Here is a black strap that came with the "US-P" strap. As you can see the school letter has been removed.

                              Gd M-40

Here is one of a pair of M-40 slip on GD straps that I have. I like the heavy embroidery on this piece!

Really like those straps with the cloth pips. I've been looking for one (without success) for a long time.

Anyway, here are a few more of mine.
