Looks like a great tunic to me. Matt -
Base tunic is original, I like the tabs, breast eagle perhaps reapplied (hand sewn to mimic machine sewn perhaps- can't say for certain from the photo).Comment

Yes a nice tunic so far, would ask for inside photos etc... I agree with Chris that the eagle may be hand sewn postwar. it would make a fine display piece all kitted up.

The sewing which makes the circumference of the collar deserves of other photo. I find the more clear thread (because of the photo?)

Its for sure machine sewn eagle. Why You think that its hand stitched?

I am seeing different gauge threads used on the eagle on my monitor and it looks like this was done by hand using heavier thread to touch up a sloppy sewing job IMO. also gaps where in the sewing like this. vvv v vvvv v vvv v v v vvv
Anyone else see different threads used here?

Im with Chris that I still like the base tunic.... maybe im missing something here but it looks ok to me. Granted I only have a couple of M36s and the majority of my tunics are officer ones so please educate me on whats not right with this piece. MattComment
