Another great picture. The jacket looks so much better with the pocket removed. Jim

A closer wiew of an already shown pic, mouse gray suits worn in a nebelwerfer unit in Normandy :

And on this one zoomed, hard to say for sure HBT or gray green denim for this full closed wrap...

Last, zoom of bad quality, this one could be either a mouse gray or a "moby dick" private purchase one :

              This combination is quite unusual...

Wow, mouse grey Pz. shorts. I imagine both jacket and shorts are tailor made (the upper lapel seems shorter than an issue wrapper).

Yes, it looks lapel has only one upper buttonhole, and sleeves are maybe made of two pieces (like tarnjacke).

What an awesome picture. I was wondering what to do with my pair of shoes.

If I knew they were panzer related I would have kept them!

Considering the almost erased photographer's mark in the right lower corner of the pic, and the general appearence of this man, my guess would be this pic was taken in Italy.
The short doesn't look made from shortened mouse gray pz trousers imo althought there are pocket flaps, neither regular Heer tropical short, maybe private purchase.

Yes, the small size of the leg pocket is unusual, maybe modified.
