    Post your salesman sample boards

I just picked up my first sample board. I've always liked these because they make nice display items. This one has a couple of scarce devices as well as a very nice early SS skull for a visor hat. If anyone knows what the 'lightening bolt' and the SA flags were used for, speak up.

Feel free to highjack this thread and post your sample boards.

    Great showcase Sarge!!

You never cease to amaze me with your vast collection......that's lots of extra cruiser shifts you've had to work over the years I bet!!

    Thanks for showing!

The lightning bolt is for an SA collar tab. Next time you're down I'll show you one on a tab.

Here is my entry into the foray. I can't explain the use of the word "Tank" under the Panzer Totenkopf. You get a nice perspective of the size of the Kav. Totenkopf from the display and a variation of the Totenkopf for Inf Rgt. 17 &
        Reiter Rgt. 13.

Very, Very nice! Make sure you post a note on the back to contact me first if it ever needs a new home. You have some nice scarce devices on that one!

Any idea who the maker is?

For a while, the Germans called panzers, tanks because they did not have a correct word for the tank. It is an english word that they adopted and when they added lots of armor to the tank, it became known as Panzer because Panzer means armor in German.

Thank you Rolf. I really appreciate that information. It had perplexed me !

              Best wishes,

                Hi Tom,

I'm not sure who the maker is. I'll have to take it out and look at it. Here is another picture. I had to crop the first one
and I cut out part of it. You can see the "Sport Schule" cypher
and a tag on the piece .

                    Glenn,

Nice board. I saw that go down on ebay a couple months back, you paid a pretty penny for it, around 1600 if I remember correctly.

Thanks. Yes, it wasn't cheap, but it is certainly unique. I consider it a valuable tool for comparing cyphers also. I see you like shoulder straps & boards also.
