I just picked up my first sample board. I've always liked these because they make nice display items. This one has a couple of scarce devices as well as a very nice early SS skull for a visor hat. If anyone knows what the 'lightening bolt' and the SA flags were used for, speak up.

Another Sample Board

Here is my entry into the foray. I can't explain the use of the word "Tank" under the Panzer Totenkopf. You get a nice perspective of the size of the Kav. Totenkopf from the display and a variation of the Totenkopf for Inf Rgt. 17 &
Reiter Rgt. 13.

Here is my entry into the foray. I can't explain the use of the word "Tank" under the Panzer Totenkopf. You get a nice perspective of the size of the Kav. Totenkopf from the display and a variation of the Totenkopf for Inf Rgt. 17 &
Reiter Rgt. 13.

For a while, the Germans called panzers, tanks because they did not have a correct word for the tank. It is an english word that they adopted and when they added lots of armor to the tank, it became known as Panzer because Panzer means armor in German.

I'm not sure who the maker is. I'll have to take it out and look at it. Here is another picture. I had to crop the first one
and I cut out part of it. You can see the "Sport Schule" cypher
and a tag on the piece .

Nice board. I saw that go down on ebay a couple months back, you paid a pretty penny for it, around 1600 if I remember correctly.

Thanks. Yes, it wasn't cheap, but it is certainly unique. I consider it a valuable tool for comparing cyphers also. I see you like shoulder straps & boards also.
