I think it is most likely an original M42 that was damaged and shortened and the insignia re applied.


The lining looks to be rayon (I think) in a charcoal grey but this could have resulted from the jacket being dyed post war (black maybe) and then perhaps bleached to try and remove the dye.


I think I know who probably owned this one at one time if Time Traveller had it.

The one Steve had I think was different, but he had a lot of odd very salty tunics like this. I remember the one at Time Traveler from him and I do not think it had added fabric at the bottom but maybe I am wrong buddy kissy kins
