very nice hairy wool m43...
i see the belt hanging canvas straps have been removed.
i suggest then it was used post war or intended for post war civi use...and as such the insignia is nice but post war applied.
logic of this? why keep military insignia on a tunic already stripped of military extras such as belt support webbing?
that said, why leave the epps loops and buttoned? at the end of the day, terribly small, but a fine specimen. congrats!

Blassic's eagle could have a good chance to be originally applied but need much better pics than that, although it differs in the stitching method from the other eagles shown in the above thread. It looks more simmilar to Bob's example on post #57 (stitching wise)
