Heer Panzer Grenadier NCO M42 Field Blouse

Here is a great condition M42 NCO field blouse...All insignia is originally sewn.

I like the use of the subdued metallic tresse on both collar and straps, collar is a slightly different shade of wool used by the factory (it is not replaced)

It is interesting to see a RB# instead of a makers mark in 42,I believe the RB#'s came into use in late 42.

My thanks to Mr Mike Davis at Virtual Grenadier for this one (www.virtualgrenadier.com) He always has great stuff.

            Awesome

I own a Heer MB M 40-41 tunic with the same eagle application. It is stamped WB 41. I wonder if the NRB# correlate with the WB factory

            congratulations

Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me,

I agree, I just like to give Mike a hard time. Very nice tunic. I am now collecting early 20th century Pickle Jar labels and working my self-esteem issues after seeing your issue tunics

                    Hi Glenn

I think the eagle application make me wonder if the manufacturer of my tunic was the same of your tunic

                    regards

                      Hi Juan,

Do you mean the type of stitch the sewing machine used,or how the factory worker folded it before sewing? (raw edge application on the M42 NCO jacket I posted)

The one on yours is sewn in a T stitch (see attached photo on another jacket for comparison) and just sewn regular zig zig on my one.

I Think WB 41 would be the acceptance stamp (Würzburg or Vienna).
