hi folks ,i respect your comments and understand your doubts ,but it realy came from diekirch in the '60s .
i am afraid this is beginning to be an endless discution abouth this and that... so lets call it a day and move on .

He could just have told you a story, or he got indeed once a M44 out of a farm, but traded it for this one, or or or. To many options we can think of.

IMO The tunic is an unquestionable reproduction, nothing is period about it, the boards look to be fake as well. The lining material is a type of clth used in many copies from that time. I would guess it is at most 25 years old probably more like 10.
One needs to be careful buying and selling livestock. It can get dangerous especially with experienced cow dealers.Attached Files
