Hello, welcome. It is not an issue tunic "M36". It may be Dutch Tropical cloth if is a period made lightweight tunic. You will have to post more pictures for us to say more.

Unless it is very cheap and you can return it I would not buy it without seeing many more detail pictures of the insides and under collar etc.

To me it looks like this material, the pink is from recoloring- on the second page and in the close ups-

I agree, and after your post yesterday about looking like dutch wool I had come accross that thread.

So would you say that the tunic looks ok? Or is the dutch wool indication of a fake? Once again I really appreciate your help..

I think it is a WWII period made uniform. The tabs may be modified or the collar but the base tunic looks period made. The orginality of and the insignia application is always a different problem and more hard to figure out than the actual tunic. I personally do not even look at insignia until I think the tunic is original. Faking application is very easy. The period materials can not be faked or recreated.

So, what can you tell me about this tunic? What is the meaning of the yellow piping? What's the rank? Was it purchased in Holland since it looks like Dutch wool? Pardon my questions if they are obvious.. I'm just interested in learning all that I can...
