Assault Gun Pionier Wrapper

Here is a nice worn example just added to my collection which I am thrilled with.

The insignias are factory machine sewn and original to the jacket.
Both collar tabs and straps have rayon piping.

Untouched black piped assault wrappers are extremely rare, I really like these field worn jackets and hope that you like it as well.

Still can't believe that I now own another one

So you have to sale one of them

Not to hijack your thread, but your very nice Assault Gun wrap-around jacket prompts me to ask a question:

Would it be accurate to describe the officer shown in the attached photo as being a "Pioneer"? The officer was a member of 10 Pzr. Gren. Div. and, to his family, always stated that he served as a "Pioneer" during the war. From what I understand, the soldier considered membership in a "Pioneer" unit to be somewhat of an elite status (or, at least, he was very proud of this status).

In the photos there appears to be black piping around his collar tabs, so I guess this would mean he was a "Pioneer"? This soldier's family members are friends of mine and I am working with them to document his wartime service.

Any information you can provide would be most appreciated.
