Hi Guys,
I see different threads on what was used for U-boat crews, and i agree all colors were used, black, grey with different style buttons, and cuff straps.
Here's mine with the cuff straps, but the buttons for some reason were either plastic or bakelite, not the usual metal KM buttons with anchor.
This has the metal clasp at the neck as seen on tunics, fully lined with black wool with inner pocket.
But the best part is, the U-boat badge is sewn on and through a metal loop.
The badge itself shows a little gold gilt left on the back pin.
Unfortunately, two buttons are missing, but it shows wear up on the shoulders and sleeves, and the stitching is come loose on the back upper collar.
And it does have the stamped eagle over the M.
Enjoy guys
Regards,
Gary
