Which model of Tunic is this?

    Hi All,

I just brought this with a bundle of other things, and I would appreciate your thoughts firstly if its original? and also it has had a few repairs done to it and the bottom of the jacket and a replacement bottom pocket, but I don't know when it was done just to mention the replacement material look allot lighter but this is due to the flush from my camera.

    Many thanks,

    Lou

Heavily repaired M43, which looks as it it could have been for an NCO.

looks like it was an m-40 to me as well the material that was used to make the repairs looks a bit odd though
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

The only thing I got from the seller was that the stuff was all in a bag? I was just looking through the forum on different Tunics and for a minute there I saw a Italian made M-36 Tunic with the same squared front top pockets?

So so far no won knows if its a M-40 or something else as if its a ok Tunic I would like to get it back in shape!

                            Thanks again,

                            Lou

Looks like an M40, reconditioned and reissued during the time M43's were being made (note pockets), then heavily worn in a POW camp or postwar.

I like the look of this tunic, even though it is destroyed. I recently picked up an M36 Mantel with no french cuffs, for they were removed because the material was needed to patch holes in it.
