Would not anyone believe a collector to have re-attached this breast eagle backwards??...

This combination of both the runes tab + TK tab should be impossible?!
Image is of a Dutch SS man in '41.

A most interesting, and amusing, thread.

I don't think anyone picked up on the other notable personage in Photo 22.

The saluting lady is Hanna Reitsch, wearing the unique pilot observer brooch presented by Hitler.

Nice photos Ron. SS eagles on Heer visors seems to be a pretty common occurrence. I always enjoy finding that little anomaly while looking through period photographs.

Photo #69. Ya' notice there's no American driving the jeep ?
At first I thought they were PoWs. And then I realised they must have 'apropriated' the thing !

checking for fake uniforms in wwii...
Talkin' about fakes... Here's a british period fake of a cloth pilot cualification badge. You can read the explanation in the second volume of the Brian L. Davis' Luftwaffe book.

That RAF pilot most probably got qualified to fly in the plane in the background!
Nice fake but 100% periode LW wing!

Keep this thread going, very entertaining!

Ugggh I don't own the book and I'm curious as to the explanation! What's the story behind this?

                            Thanks,
