He is identified as the commander of 5. Luftwaffen Feld Division, which would make him either Oberst Hans-Joachim von Arnim or Oberst Hans-Bruno Schulze-Heyn.

Glenn, great photo, he's short a KC to having about every conceivable major award in the German army. Not too bad for a young NCO.

That's not a LW officer.... Does not even have shoulderboards on his greatcoat.
                  Probably NSDAP

                    What about this one?
Eagle very high on the breast of a tunic in duck cotton with enlisted litzen on a green collar...
He's not a promoted NCO.. no traces of tresse removal on collar...
Note officer's scallop piping on M43 cap with "T" eagle and Lt shoulderboards!
                    Credit goes to as tagged!

The last hat is a M43 made from a M42 overseas. What is Hanna Reitsch waving at? She was hot.

You are right, Not luftwaffe. It's political (NSDAP), the man is Gauleiter Karl Hanke.

Wow a leather uniform with metal pinned on breast eagle!!
Sure looks like one! Pretty wild!
That would go nicely with this cap! (La Gleize museum collection)
