I like the tunic and insignia ( I am not an expert).

Alex, I like your tunic. I had a Italian wool tunic similar to yours with same eagle. My tunic was marked "E44".

        Best regards, Steve

A GJ tunic, IMO regardless of the arm insignia...

The neck closure is just a field modifacation on a standard M43 tunic. The
"M36" style factory tunics with this feature were Mountain Troop tunics or "Bergrocks" and also had a closure at the wrists. You see this type of modifaction to the collar fairly often and it does not indicate they were GJ.
            Johnny,

What closure at the cuff are you talking about? I would be curious to see this.

            Thanks!

I do not own one, they are very rare and the wrist straps are often removed. They have the the neck closure and are basically are set up like a windbluse with a strap and little buttons so you can close the wrists on both sides. They are described in the Angolia Schlicht books on the Heer.

Here are some other close ups of the insignia

I have removed the 'Oostfront' and 'EK2' straps because
they were not original to the tunic and badly sewn...
