Hello Jimbo, you are right and 1000 is from Wien area, the other 4 digit are from the company codfe, unfortunately I can not help you with this as is not identified.
    Bundesarchiv.

The interesting point for everyone who wants to research is

    1. all the 1 numbers are lost (nearly no chance to find out which number stand for which company)

    2. the 0 has survived in parts. For determination you need location and name of the company - then you get the number - thats the only way it works.

      Rbn 0/1001/0045

      Hi Eduardo,
I understand that you have the list of RB Numbers. I have read this blog and can now decipher the following for this RB Number on my ammo pouch

      RBN 0/1001/0045

      0 is for Industry
      1001 is for Wien?
0045 is for the manufacturer specifically.

Can you look up your code list and let me know the manufacturer name. Also please confirm that 1001 is for Wien,

      Thanks,

      Sam

Sam, you are right about the code, 1001 is from a Wien maker but unfortunately the maker code 0045 is not included in the list.

No matches in my lists but of course not all the numbers and codes are documented. As mentioned they did use numbers that started with two digits without a zero.

The code "0265" is for Magdeberg, the maker is "5044" is not on the lists I have.

Thanks Johnny, excellent info as always

The tropical caps with this rbn# are all Hans Brandt caps made in Braunschweig which is not to far from Madgeberg. The # 5044 must be the maker Hans Brandt then...

Most "0374" code n° seem to indicate Sachchen/Saxony area.
Are you sure there is only "142" after ? Not four n° ?
