    I would appreciate opinions on this Grossdeutschland tunic.

            Nice m43 tunic, Tabs definetly looks period applaid.. I will let others comment on the rest..

            Why has the watermark been removed??

              Obviously replaced bird (tabs are certainly factory) and as for the other embellishments....Well

                The seller acknowledges that the bird and perhaps the CT are replaced.

                Here are his exact words:

                "The front closure, exterior pocket and the shoulder strap buttons retain various amounts of their field-grey paint and all of the buttons appear to have their original stitching. The breast eagle has been restored to the tunic and most probably the cufftitle as well. Collar tabs are original stitching and the GD slip on straps are 100% original and very hard to find examples."

                I also dont think that removing the vendor's markings is a very cool thing to do. If someone else's images are to be used without permission, at the very least cite the source. I know the seller and I am sure that he would not mind making images without the markings for you to use. It just gives a bad perception when copy protected watermarks are removed from a posted image, in my opinion.

                      The price is low for Peter.
                      In a Soldbuch I have the 17 year old Owner was issued a GD cuff band in Feb.,1945
                      Nice item to buy if you cant make the SOS.

                            If you want a collection of parts and pieces I guess it would be OK but as far as the tunic being an original GD piece I have my doubts.
