Hi,
okay I know this is an early tunic, what would the dated be this type of tunic was manufactured, is no dates label etc inside the coat.In 1928 they reduced the number of buttons from 8 to 6 on these early tunics with slanted pockets. This is pre 1928 yes? Any knowledge on these tunics would be appreciated. Being older makes it more or less valuable or no affect? Why I ask I have been offered $1200AU with the low $US and high $AU that would buy some new items I have been after. The offer was from a dealer but money is money is it a good price, I imagined these would be on a par with waffenrocks. Opinions advice welcome. I like the tunic but acquiring Pioneer Cap to match it would not be easy or cheap. I have a nice eagle to go on the tunic. If this is pre 1928 would it have been in use till 1945 I have seen Generals wearing early tunics 1943/44 but Generals are Generals. I must say the material is first rate of highest quality. Anyone know of a heap visor.
cheers Robert
