Great insignia Terry! Yes, welcome and thanks for sharing. Are the two Luft. eagles circled both backed with wool?

Willi, very nice additions! Is that smock eagle going to be my Christmas present?

            Regards,
            John

The center one has a small piece of wool left in the stiching and the one at the top right is on wool also., just trimed close. Also the officers eagle and the collar tabs match, got them from the same guy. Shame how they cut up nice stuff like that .

Nice. They sure sewed them on heavy enough didnt they. You dont see that much on the other eagles.

Maybe so the edge of the eagle wouldn't snag on something in the confined space of a plane? That would be in keeping with the sleek design of the Fliegerbluse...............I got this chevron from the same guy. I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. An unfinished, untrimmed piece, or one that was cut off a black HBT garment? Seller thought Panzer coveralls.

Nice eagle Bob. The early war ones were usually sewn like that.
