*Sob*. It's sad to see bits of collars and sidecaps chopped off, even if you're removing the collar patches. It's nothing short of mutilation.
I've seen tunic collars cut out completely and flogged on ebay for a ridiculous price. Sad.
    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Hello all! Here are the only cut-off insignia in my collection. Notice the RAD insignia? Makes you wonder "Why bother?"....

                    FJ Tab

Badbob, Great thread! I'm a "newbie" attaching photos to threads so please bear with me. Here is a tab for a FJ Unteroffizier brought back by a GI in Normandy.
Of interest is the collar tab was hand sewn to the Fliegerbluse collar.

Great! It worked! Here is the reserve of same tab.

Panzer NCO/Officer National Emblem - Front

Here is one of my favorites. This is a seldom seen EM configuration Panzer National Emblem done in aluminum BeVo wire for NCO/officers attached to a mid-war Panzer wrap.

Here is another Lufwaffe National Emblem that was (as the story goes) removed from a Fliegerbluse in Normandy.
