    Luftwaffe pilot jacket

    Hello,
please help me to find such a Luftwaffe leather jacket, even if 10x the price mentioned by Monsieur the French man and his flee markets.(150,--Euro and shoulder boards for 100,--Euro etc.)
Please give me the recipe to make the difference on a real and faked pilot badge especially based one one blured scan. Please dont ignore my request.
    Thanks guys

      Hello,

First to find how an original pilot badge is supposed to be just use the WAF search engine by clicking on "search" and write "bullion pilot badge". In a matter of seconds you should find many threads on the subject. That is one of WAF's interests.
Here is one original bullion badge. I don't say that it is the only original one as there were many makers but at least it can give you an idea of how it should look like. In my eyes there is a big difference when you compare this one (perhaps too much worn I apolgize) and the one applied on the jacket proposed to Steve.

Second Steve wrote in his first message that the price of this jacket was 1600 €. So if you add as I said the price for a pilot badge (400 €), the eagle (180 €) and the shoulder boards (80 €) it makes 660 € and it means that the price for the "naked" jacket was 940 €. Considering that all the badges have been put after WW2 (no patina on them compared to the condition of the jacket) for me it is too expensive to pay that price with a fake pilot badge. I never said that it was possible to find this type of jacket for just 150 € (even if was true 15 years ago....). I just said that it was possible to find one on a flee market for less than 940 € but not that there were piles of "Hartmann jackets". At the flee market porte de Clignancourt in Paris in vintage clothing shops they don't know who was Hartmann or that these jackets were used by Luftwaffe pilots and it is possible to find one there. If you are ready to pay more than 1000 € (Wow!) for this kind of jacket the hunt will begin tomorrow morning .

              You are welcome Steve.
Don't stop the hunt but I will do my best to find you a nice leather jacket for a decent price.
