John's right. The arm pit seam is a little odd. You usually see one below the arm pit extending down, one from the hip pocket upwards, and a short one at the waist line.

No, the arm seams are standard construction. It is difficult to tell from the first photo and I apologize for that.

Does it have something to do with the manner in which the NCO tress is sewn through the collar tabs on two sides?

That's it Willi, atypical construction. In most cases the tresse is butted against the tab, in some cases the tresse doesn't even touch the tab. On this blouse it's sewn over the edge of the tab covering part of it.

Nice Flieger BTW John. That is exactly how I like to see them.....textbook, with everything factory sewn. You are right........tress is not normally sewn to the tabs.

What is the date on that Flieger? The only super nice textbook NCO Flieger that I have is dated '43 and has that later subdued NCO tress.
