    M43 tunic

Just got this in. Minty m43 tunic, originally out of the rag depots of Italy. It is neat in that you can see all the taylor markings and hash marks still. Unfortunately it had tabs removed and no sign of eagle or shoulder board buttons. But it has some interesting features.
Curved instead of zigzag collar backing stitching.
Marked several times with part numbers on material - example is the 22 in orange. All button holes are marked with blue/green slash.
Above pocket is what I thought loops for ribbon bar, but it is like 7" long? anyone know why? (Shown in picture)
Nicely marked in rayon lining, and then marked in red 155 168? anyone know what those mean?
Overall minty condition greenish/gray recycled wool, with dark blue/gray late war buttons. BJ 42 (I remember hearing that BJ 42 were rejects a while ago...?)
    Thanks for looking.

it looks all good. I like the curved stitching on the collar. strange how it doesnt have signs of strap buttons but maybe it is a reject as you state. also strange no sign of an eagle but traces of collar patches. oh well. theres many strange, unsolved mysteries out there isnt there. May be its just me, but is there traces of black thread on the collar, along the bottom edge? It almost looks like it may have had a SS collar tab on it?

What is really cool about it is that it has a set of loops over the pocket for what I think may have been a CCC? That is a nice tunic and a sweet find indeed!

                          Steve,
That makes sense, the loops would fit the badge like you said. I could not figure out what it was, a huge ribbon bar? and now that you mention it, it is like a light bulb went off. Thanks for that.
Yes there were a couple black threads there, no idea why. Also, I could never see where an eagle was at all, only insignia were heer collar tabs. I guess anything could have happened. It really is neat and Minty.

                            Hello all,

So are JB marked buttons legit? Are these dated?
