Nazi Eagle on top of large Column

I've never seen anything like this before and don't know if it's war time or post war manufacture. The column is some sort of hard plastic and not entirely straight, it's got a slight twist in it. The base is marked BERLIN 27-29. September 1937. The eagle is molded brasss and double sided.

Anybody seen one of these before?

Looks like a miniature of the columns that were erected in Berlin . And, erected before Mussolini's State visit,
hence the dates.

I'm really thinking that this is a period item. The verdigris (green oxidation) and overall patina on the eagle is quite old and the column is made of a plastic/resin of a type I'm not familiar with. Unless someone can come up with another one of these I'm betting on it's being a commeration souvenir from Mussolini's visit to Berlin.

It's 9 7/8" tall by 2 7/8" wide, from wing tip to wing tip.

kind of has the Raiders of the lost ark look.

Look what I found....go to the bottom of the page and view the slide show, there's one identical to mine in the Berlin Stadtmuseum.
