The e-stand has become like the old e-bay minefield of days gone by.

Interesting dilemma. The weight might help tip the scales, as it were.

Unfortunately, the lack of the nozzle or cup part of the top doesn't help. I have a complete one I'll dig out to compare. I don't recall if it's RZM marked.

There were probably a number of makers so the design details can vary. However, I'm only aware of nickle plated brass ones and I've only seen RZM 60 marked on these. This was prior to the implementation of universal RZM regulations. However, as they were replaced by the second model in the mid by the second model, most do not have an RZM stamp.

The second types show various RZM makers. However, at this point, the numbering system had changed so RZM 60 (as far as I've seen) doesn't show up. Perhaps someone knows what maker 60 was and what new number it used later. I'm familiar with M3/27, M3/34, M3/35, and M3/40 marked second type NSDAP pole tops.

The second model is aluminum and it's possible that there were some early types done in aluminum (Jeremy states his silver one is alu) as well. Again, that may have been a later, briefly produced innovation, if it exists at all.

Second model makers as given in the thread are:
                    M3/27 - J.H.Schmidt Sohne from Izerlohn
M3/34 - Heinrich Marx from Izerlohn
                    M3/ 35 - I do not have reference
M3/40- I do not have reference

                      No marks on it!
