Prussian police conversion

Unfortunately, this fine thread is not pinned and often is lost in the long line of topics. OFW posted an example of a chain stitched early Prussian police star on the thread about fake flags in a Florida auction. His post reminded me of a flag I owned years ago that was a modified III Reich State Service Flag that had one side modified by covering with police green cloth and mounting a new Prussian police star. This star replaced the earlier Prussian star that OFW posted on the other thread in 1933/34 and was replaced by the new Nazi police insignia in 1936. The black eagle is chain stitched.


Note the addition of the silver color support cords at each corner. I used them to hang it from my schellenbaum until I acquired a proper flag. The tag in the corner reads "Karl F. W. Kulow/ Altona/ Hambergerstr. 73". The size is 40x60cm.
