The story on this one is that it was taken from an outpost in Normandy, France. It is huge, approx 10' x 8', silk, with silk reinforcement and the original hoist rope with loop and snap hook. Everything is sewn on, hard to get a really good look because of the size.

The red has faded as I guess one would expect from a flag that was certainly flown outside for quite a while, also some color bleed probably from it getting wet.Comment

I would say most likely from a reg building for normal land viewing. The real huge flags would be more like 12' X 18' and alot bigger.Comment

The Feldpost "flag" I was asking about last week was supposedly taken from the same outpost. My source said he was going to keep it, I imagine I will be able to talk him out of it eventually. It is not a direct vet purchase, or I would have more info. This is a friend of the deceased vet, so I have all of the specifics I am going to get. Still, all in all, a pretty cool flag!!!!Comment
