I have one of the brocade versions of PL holster/shoulder strap. The NSDAP eagle on the flap was a special design by Assman & Co. and the finished product was covered with a fine leather patch like the smaller one shown. As you can see in the image, the leather patch was removed and another NSDAP eagle of different size applied to the holster flap. The guns were prepared for gifts by Himmler. Not necessarily personal presentations. At the end of the war, Himmler purchased and prepared pistols and other weapons and equipment as gifts to Snipers (Scharfschutzen) in his capacity as an Army commander.

The Walther PP you posted with the HG/GH initials was offered for auction on Rock Island Auction a few years ago. If I am not mistaken, the auction house attempted to link the pistol by the initials HG/GH to some other Third Reich person. Of course without a presentation inscription, the gun could have been a personal purchase or a simple gift to someone.Comment

You really should purchase some books on Walther pistols or visit some other sites. The image you posted is very poor, but if this is the original, it was documented as a presentation to Adolf Hitler from the Walther factory. It was returned to the US by a veteran and has been in two or three collections.Originally posted by vonLind View Post

It is an ornately finished Menz pistol in presentation case that was documented as returned from Munich by a US service man along with several other pieces of Hitler possessions.
