This post is really for the UK guys but it may be of interest to others.Here in the UK all deactivated sub-machine guns have since October 1995 been welded shut and its impossible to take them apart.Buts its legal to keep and/or sell an old specification one if you have one ( at the moment.....watch this space reossible new home office legislation).
As a result in the spec change 'old spec' deactivated guns are getting so very expensive ! IMO way too expensive.I mean the MP40 is a really nice gun but is it really worth £2000 ? So I just thought some UK collectors may be interested to see what they go for in Germany.The laws have just changed there but these German 'old specs' can be stripped.
Just a shame that to import one into the UK would land you in jail
