Is this one of the unissued holsters that came out of Ukraine some 15 or so years ago? The holster seems original, but does not appear to have had a gun in it for any period of time (i.e. it exhibits none of the wear marks that you would see on an as-issued holster).

          Nice rig.

Love it! Had a late commercial HSc in a 1934 holster that I sold a while back. They are lovely guns and as with most German engineering, always well done!

                  Great rig, thanks for sharing!

Great find Bill! I think you got the deal since the seller probably thought it was fake. I've had this happen before as well.

Can you read off the RB number and the waffenampt number, so I can add it to my records?

                    Thanks
                    Matt

That is an excellent example of one of the scarcer German Issued WW II pistols.
                      Congratulations on a nice find!

IMO these are multifunctional holsters. Different pistols fit, HSc, S&S38H, PP,... . They come in all kinds of variations as to leather colour and texture. Some have only the belt loop with 'stripes' others are just the other way around, like mine.
They are marked RBNr 0/1272/0002. I found this RBNr is attributed to Jelinek from CZ but i don't know for sure. Jelinek (oub) used/had WaA76 and this holster has WaA721 (hard to read). Could always be a late war change though.

Don't know where he striped leather comes from. A faulty batch or diverted to holster production from another manufactering process?
