    Can you judge is this the real thing or good copy?

    Unusual to see the manufacture’s name on a 1942 holster - from mid 1940 holster's started moving to 3 letter coding, otherwise, it looks a very legit 1942 P08 holster. Nice one with a tool too. According to Jan C Still this manfacture is a known and accepted 1942 producer.

            On your wife's childhood home . . . what is the deal? Was someone in her family a collector of military items? I saw the ordnance items you posted as having been found in the home. Is the home located in a former war-zone?

            The P.08 holster is nice (although it looks to have had a pretty heavy coat of black shoe polish applied post-war).

            Looking forward to further details about you wife's childhood home.

              Holster is not only legit, it's beautiful!


              Someone mentioned maker codes about this? This particular maker never used a maker code on it's Luger holsters. They only made them in 1937, and then again in 1942. They used "WaA14" on them both years, and full makers name as well.

                My wife´s father was a somekind collector, but I am pretty sure that he didn´t buy these from antique stores or military fairs.

                Finland´s rural area was very important in WW2 and over 300 000 men bring war memories back to home.
