    K98 Sniper Review

    I pulled the trigger on this. I know these are a minefield, but my gut tells me I did ok. Could I get some opinions. Obviously, stock needs to be replaced. Im not seeing a lot of numbers matching. Optics are good, but could use a cleaning. Comments welcome.

    I haven't cleaned it yet. White paint splatter comes right off with fingernail

                  Thank you. Im glad I trusted my instincts as I had one bad picture to go by as seen below. What type of stock should be used to get it back to as close to spec as possible. Just a regular lamented stock?

                      Yes. May or may not have had a checkered buttplate. This "n" block was a catch all block seemingly using left over parts etc with a lot of oddities seen. I will have to check my records to give you an idea of what combinations I've seen

                              was brought home by the sellers Dad. He says he always remember it in this stock and its only had two rounds through it in the 50 years he has known it. Seems have been stored quiet well.
