Rare Springfield 1911 45

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the shop today but will go down in the morning and take pictures of all the parts. I do not believe the magazine is correct but then again it was the one that was with the gun when I revived it.

I will get photos tomorrow morning to answer some of these questions.

This is the correct Springfield magazine. The base of the Springfield magazines were gas welded rather than pinned. The heat of the welding caused the rainbow color on the tube.

Just got done taking all the pictures of the parts... I was mistaken and the barrel is stamped with a "S"..

I will post more pictures as soon as I get home in about 30min.. But here is one for now..

There you go... These are all the pictures of parts with markings.. As for the rest the markings appeared to be worn off, so I didn't photograph them
