The small parts on a Springfield 1911 are normally marked with an S. Have you examined all the parts? What are the barrel markings?

All the parts have been looked at by a firearms specialist and are correct.
When he took it appart to look at the barrel was the correct barrel for the gun and recalls it having a "P" on it. I am going to take it down to him later this afternoon to find out for sure.

And just incase anyone is wondering who my "specialist" is.. It is Darin Prince (bullet button)

He and I have been getting lots of different price ideas online for it... So we thought it would be better to go straight to the collectors since it is such a limited firearms

Finish appears to be parkarise if so it probably saw service in WWII which is remarkable if all parts are original.

Except for the very early, virtually all Model 1911 barrels have a P on them. Did the specialist include the magazine in the correct parts?

Why are the markings on the barrel white inlaid, but on the frame not? Did someone somewhen match them together?
