By the way, the Mauser book mentioned is a must have for anyone interested in the Mauser P.08. I just hadn't had time to look at my copy.

It is all matching Mauser 1940, navy marked, with one matching clip, and the other navy clip, navy marked holster matched to the gun.
I hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Outstanding Luger! Congrats on one hell of a score

Any chance you can share some pics of the K43?

People are digging too far into this. 100% legit luger IMO. The Navy markings were always added POST production. The wear to that area is gripstrap wear and perfectly normal IMO. A nice and VERY desireable luger rig

It would come closer to being the name or initials of the GI that came into possession of it.

Can you post a pic of it in natural light and not so close? What looks like K-Hz might be an abbreviation for Karl-Heinz

Post 7 shows the holster is very clearly maker & navy marked . Not rare to see holsters marked like that by the GI that brought it home . Also not terribly rare to see the german owner carving his name in the holster . Be thankful it wasn't done to the gun itself . Seen that before . Glad newer info backs your gun up . Really nice it is so close to the last marked one also . Conngrats Dave
