I have serious reservations about any police accepted holster without maker and date. And, the acceptance stamp on this piece looks like it was applied in two parts. A no-no. I would classify the marking as fake. If there is smoke, there is fire. I wonder too about the age of the holster.

            Did the police holsters
have the B outside the chest of the eagle?

Yes, the acceptance stamp changed during the war with the B moving to the lower right side of the eagle/swaz. But it was a single stamp, not two stamps as this fraud obviously displays.

I will check those I have as to the marking's, I have 4 of these out of the Ukraine and 5 vet. Bring backs. Your example looks much like those out of the Ukraine.

How do you see these are 2 stamps?
                        Thanks.

Kris, look at the last photograph in the first post. The letter B is surrounded by a depression forming a square. It is most visible to the right of the B. This indicates the B was a stamp that was made separately from the eagle.

Thanks Joe. I understand what you mean but i don't see it. Maybe it's my screen but to me it looks like the B is attached to the eagle.

Maybe this photo will help? Got to say I don't see any tell tails of a fake? The B looks lined up with the rest of the stamp. Could be wrong of course but would be nice to see another one with this stamp.
