I guess it's a reasonable price for this tripod.
What is the value of a 100% original tripod?, I guess the difference is significant.

    Thanks for your answers

What is the difference between a tripod turned MG34-MG42 and MG42 tripod?.
I do not see the difference,
Can you explain to me how they differ?, please.

      Thanks all.

        Thanks all.

look at the buffer backplate, mg34 ones are cast and had a distinctive shape (glat on the top), where as the mg42 ones just have a vertical flat backplate

            MG42 Lafette

            Hi,
Here's a picture of the buffer mounting on a wartime MG42 Lafette.
Beware of Yugo tripods with a rear buffer mount copied from this pattern.
The flat plate on the top of the 34 lafette was to support the gun during barrel change - sometimes this plate has been ground off to make it look more like an MG42 Lafette but the heavy thickness of the metal is a giveaway.
The other telltale sign of a 34 Lafette is the rear gun-mounting hooks - MG34 hooks have a cutaway portion on the inside edge whereas MG42 hooks are the same thickness all across - easier to show than describe!
If you look at the top of picture 2 you can see that the hooks are flat on the inside vertical face with no angled slice cut out as for an MG34
Hope this helps - it all takes a lot of time and effort!
            Good luck,
            Grossfuss

              MG42 Lafette

              Hello again,
Just had a look at Michael Downey's excellent picture #10 and the cuts on the inside of the hooks are plain to see.
As Sergei the Meerkat would say - "Simples"! (For UK readers only!)
              All the best,
              Grossfuss

With these images and your explanation I understand it perfectly.
The tripod that I have shown, has the right damper?. I suppose it will be necessary any more detailed picture to see it.

                Thanks for your time.
                Iñigo.

                    I have a question:
What is the tripod more valued and sought by collectors?
                    1 - MG34 Tripod
                    2 - MG42 Tripod
                    3 - MG34 Tripod reworked for MG42

All depends on what you are looking for. I collect MG34, so a lafette42 is not as valuable as a lafette34 for me. I can imagine some collectors like MG42s more than MG34s, so the opposite. I don't think a reworked lafette is what a collector would like in his collection, unless it was a period rework and due to some special event. They are more valuable if they are untouched and have a lot of original paint on them. There was a lafette34 sold some days ago at E-bay for 4000€ because it had a lot of original paint on it. The usual price for an original lafette is between 1200-1500€
